Description

Selector is seeking a Product Manager to join our growing Product team. Reporting to the VP of Product Management, you will play a key role in gathering customer requirements, creating an intuitive product experience, and otherwise influencing feature delivery on behalf of our customers.

A successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate across multiple departments and customers, can shift gears at a moment's notice, and enjoy the challenges of working with enterprise clients. If you're established within the monitoring or observability space, and have a background in Product Management focusing on UI/UX, we should talk.



Responsibilities

  • Work remotely, or in the home office in Santa Clara, CA
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team including leadership, engineers, designers, and copywriters to create a consistent, integrated experience for our customers
  • Engage with customers regularly, drive research initiatives, and incorporate customer feedback into designs. Use design tools like personas and journey maps to build a shared understanding of the customer with the team.
  • Balance customer needs with business objectives and technical limitations, using your skills across research, user experience, interaction design, and visual design to create solutions.
  • Contribute to our product vision - Gather input from engineers, product managers, clinical advisors, leadership, and other designers to develop a journey-based approach to product design. Collaborate with the product team to prioritize and scope work.
  • Work closely with product managers and engineers - Ensure we deliver a high-quality product experience by collaborating closely with product managers and engineers throughout the design and implementation process.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to create, improve, and help scale our patterns and components that can be reused across different parts of our product experience.
  • Perform ongoing market research and competitive intelligence to evaluate market trends, threats, and opportunities that drive the product roadmap

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in Product, with a focus on user experience
  • Experience building and shipping products within a large-scale, ambitious domain
  • Comfortable owning and balancing projects at various points of the product development lifecycle; Performing product discovery all the way to implementation and measuring success
  • A data-driven mindset that results in intuitive outcomes for customers. A strong sense for which decisions require research and data to back them, and which don’t.
  • Design skills
    • Propensity for expressing ideas through visuals and prototyping
    • Experience working with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
    • Experience partnering with designers and engineers to deliver quality experiences
  • Enthusiastic and clear communication skills; persistent advocate for opinions and beliefs without being abrasive
  • Passion for what you do, with a bias toward action; we move very fast here
  • Bonus points for individuals with experience within the monitoring, observability and/or data analytics domain
  • Ability to travel as required, expected 10%

Compensation

  • The salary for this role is $125,000 - $140,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, and may vary from the amount listed.
